Brooklyn-based band Kissing Is A Crime have been quietly plying their trade for a few years - and now it’s really feeling like things are beginning to take shape for them. New single ‘Crown Royal’ is lifted from their forthcoming debut EP Your Secrets Are Safe With Me and it’s a sensationally crafted alt-pop gem. Led by frontman/singer/guitarist Matthew Molnar (who you may remember from fellow Brooklynites FRIENDS) - this latest single from the band is full to the brim with off-kilter vocal melodies, energetic drum work, and splendidly spindly guitar work. Described by Molnar as a “hooky sugar rush about adolescent infatuation”, Crown Royal’s video accompaniment (which debuted earlier this week) is appropriately off-kilter, and you should absolutely give it a whirl right now.
